Refund Policy
Last updated: June 9, 2026
1. Overview
This Refund Policy applies to all paid purchases on Planytera, a service operated by Digital Products Direct LLC, a Georgia limited liability company doing business as Planytera ("Planytera," "we," "us," or "our"): subscription plans (Explorer, Wanderer, Journeyman, Globetrotter, and Agency, in monthly or annual cadences) and one-time top-up credit packs (AI generation credits and activity swap credits). Except where this policy or applicable law says otherwise, all transactions are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
2. Where you bought matters
How your refund is handled depends on where you completed the purchase:
- Web (planytera.com). Web purchases are sold by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle") as the merchant and seller of record. Paddle appears as the seller on your receipt and on your card or bank statement, and handles payment processing, invoicing, sales tax, and refunds for web purchases under this policy. You can reach Paddle through the link in your receipt email or at paddle.net. Paddle's Buyer Terms also apply to web purchases, including Paddle's handling of international sales and sales taxes as authorized reseller. Planytera provides the Service; Paddle handles the payment relationship.
- Apple App Store (iOS app). Purchases made inside the iOS app are billed by Apple. Refunds for these purchases are handled exclusively by Apple under Apple's terms; request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue App Store refunds directly.
- Google Play (Android app). Purchases made inside the Android app are billed by Google. Refunds follow the Google Play refund policy; request one through Google Play support. We cannot issue Google Play refunds directly.
The rest of this policy describes refunds for web purchases processed by Paddle, plus the standards we apply when we are asked to support a refund request on any channel.
3. Statutory withdrawal and cancellation rights
If you are a consumer, you may have rights that this policy cannot reduce:
- EU, EEA, and Switzerland: if you are a consumer, you have a 14-day right of withdrawal from the date of your initial subscription purchase. Because Planytera is a digital service (ongoing access, not a one-time download), this right is not extinguished by your beginning to use the Service; it runs the full 14-day period. After the 14-day window closes, subsequent subscription renewals do not create a new withdrawal right under current EU law. You can exercise the right by canceling in Settings → Subscription or by contacting support@planytera.com. If you withdraw within 14 days, your payment is refunded within 14 days, less a pro-rata amount for any period you actively used the Service, as permitted by law. For credit packs (one-time consumable digital goods), you may waive the withdrawal right by expressly requesting immediate delivery; that acknowledgment is requested at checkout. Where statutory withdrawal rights apply (see Section 3), partial use reduces but does not necessarily eliminate your refund entitlement; in those cases a pro-rata refund for unused credits is calculated.
- United Kingdom: the same 14-day withdrawal right applies to your initial subscription purchase under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Additional cooling-off rules for subscription renewals under the UK DMCC Act are expected but not yet in force; this policy will be updated when they take effect.
- United States (states with automatic-renewal laws): where a state automatic-renewal law applies (for example, California), if we did not provide the disclosures or notices that law requires, you may be entitled to cancel and seek a refund of non-conforming charges as that law provides. Contact support@planytera.com to exercise this right.
- Turkey and Israel: a 14-day withdrawal period applies to digital products.
- South Korea, Brazil, and China: a 7-day cancellation window applies following delivery.
- Canada: cancellation rights vary by province. Quebec consumers may cancel a distance contract within 7 days in certain circumstances. We honor applicable provincial cancellation rights; contact support@planytera.com to exercise them.
- Singapore: a 5-day cancellation window applies after delivery or first access.
Where local consumer law grants you a refund right that differs from this policy, the law prevails.
4. Subscriptions
You can cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription (or through Apple/Google subscription management for app purchases). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period: you keep access until then, and no further charges occur. Payments already made for the current period, and past renewal payments, are not refundable except where Section 3 (statutory rights) or Section 6 (discretionary refunds) applies.
For subscriptions that automatically renew, we send you a renewal reminder before each renewal date so you can review or cancel before you are charged. For monthly plans we send the reminder at least 3 days before renewal; for annual plans we send it 15 to 45 days before renewal, consistent with automatic-renewal laws that apply to longer subscription terms.
Planytera does not offer a free trial of paid subscription tiers. The free Observer and DIY plans let you explore core features before upgrading.
5. Top-up credit packs
Credit packs (AI generation credits and activity swap credits) are consumable digital goods. Once any credit from a pack has been used, the pack is no longer refundable, except where required by law or where Section 7 (defects) applies. Unused packs may qualify for a discretionary refund under Section 6. At checkout you will be asked to acknowledge that delivery begins immediately and that your right of withdrawal, where applicable, ends on first use. Where statutory withdrawal rights apply (see Section 3), partial use reduces but does not necessarily eliminate your refund entitlement; in those cases a pro-rata refund for unused credits is calculated.
6. Discretionary refunds
Paddle may, at its sole discretion, issue a refund if a request is submitted within 14 days of your Transaction date. Submission of a request within this 14-day period does not guarantee a refund.
This discretion applies only to web purchases processed by Paddle. Refunds for App Store and Google Play purchases are decided by Apple and Google under their own policies.
All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Paddle may consider relevant factors including the nature of the Product, the reason for the request, usage or consumption, and any applicable contractual terms. Paddle may approve a refund in full, approve a partial refund, or decline the request.
Any discretionary refund granted by Paddle is voluntary and does not create an obligation to provide refunds in the future, including for similar requests. Paddle's decision to issue (or not issue) a refund does not waive any rights or remedies Paddle may have under applicable agreements or law.
7. Defective or unavailable service
If the paid features you purchased have a material technical defect that we cannot remedy within a reasonable time after you contact us, you are entitled to a refund of the affected purchase. Contact support@planytera.com with a description of the problem; for web purchases you may also contact Paddle support. For iOS and Android purchases, Apple and Google respectively handle defect-related refund requests on their platforms (see Section 11).
8. Refusals
Each AI-generated itinerary consumes compute resources that are billed to us at the time of generation, whether or not a refund is later requested. We and Paddle decline refund requests that show evidence of fraud, refund abuse, or other manipulative behavior. This includes purchasing a plan or credit pack, using a substantial portion of the included generations or credits, and then requesting a refund of the purchase price.
9. How refunds are processed
Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method, normally within 14 days of approval. When a purchase is refunded, the related access ends immediately upon approval, not at the end of the billing period: refunded subscriptions lose their paid entitlements, and refunded credit packs have their remaining credits revoked at the same time.
10. Chargebacks
If you believe a charge is wrong, contact us (or Paddle) before disputing it with your bank: most issues are resolved faster that way. If a chargeback is filed, access to the related paid features will be suspended while the dispute is reviewed. If the chargeback is upheld, the subscription or credit purchase is treated as canceled as of the original transaction date; no partial credit is provided for any period of access already received.
11. How to request a refund
- Web purchases: use the link in your Paddle receipt email, visit paddle.net, or email support@planytera.com and we will help route the request.
- iOS purchases: reportaproblem.apple.com.
- Android purchases: Google Play order history / Google Play support.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the latest revision. For material changes, we will give you at least 30 days' notice by email or in-app notification before the change takes effect.
